Winter is in full swing in Panchagarh, Dinajpur and Nilphamari. Common people are suffering in the thick fog and frosty air. After three days the face of the sun was seen there, but the severity of the winter was terrible because of the wind. For several days, fires were seen burning in the backyard in the evening and in the morning to prevent cold. Shops in the hat bazaars are opened in late.

The lowest temperature in the country was recorded at Tentulia in Panchagarh district yesterday. The lowest temperature of 8.9 degree Celsius was recorded in this upazila. Dinajpur recorded 11 degrees Celsius, Naogaon Badalgachhi 11.6 degrees Celsius, Nilphamari's Dimla 12.3 degrees Celsius and Syedpur 13 degrees Celsius.

The meteorological office said temperatures across the country could drop by one to three degrees Celsius and daytime temperatures could rise by one to two degrees Celsius. In addition, the night temperature may drop further in the next two days.

According to the weather forecast, the weather will be mainly dry across the country with temporary partly cloudy skies. Moderate to heavy fog may fall in the river basins of the country from midnight to morning and light to moderate fog elsewhere.

The weather forecast further said that most parts of the sub-continental high pressure zone are located in Bihar and adjoining areas. The normal seasonal light pressure is located in the Bay of Bengal, with most of it extending to the northeastern Bay of Bengal.

The maximum temperature in Dhaka yesterday was 24.2 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 17.2 degrees Celsius. Tomorrow the sunrise in Dhaka will be at 6:44 AM and today the sunset will be at 5:33 PM.
