Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda has said that it is difficult to hold elections in the political arena.
He said a choice could be made with the gun on head. That cannot be forever. It is difficult to choose in the political arena. But it is possible.
The CEC said this while addressing a RFED talk at the media center of Election Building in Agargaon on Thursday (January 27) at 11am.
KM Nurul Huda said former Chief Election Commissioner Dr. ATM Shamsul Huda criticized the current Commission, but had violated the law by holding 90-day elections in 690 days. He has done a lot of illegal things while in charge.
Regarding the various comments of EC Mahbub Talukder, he said, "I have always spoken about Mahbub Talukder." He is implementing his personal agenda in the EC. He is a sick person. Mahbub was sometimes in the ICU and sometimes in the CCU. He has also received treatment in Singapore, India. The cost of these treatments was borne by the Commission. The amount of this money is about Tk. 30 to Tk.40 lakh.
