Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni has complained that the news published about the land acquisition for Chandpur University of Science and Technology is untrue and motivated. "Neither I nor my family has any financial connection with the land acquisition," she said.
The Education Minister made the remarks at a press conference at her residence on Hare Road in the capital on Thursday (January 27) evening.

"None of my family members are involved in any corruption," she said. However, it should be investigated whether anyone else has committed corruption. And action should be taken in accordance with the law.
Pointing to a local MP, the Minister said, "I don't want to talk about him in the media. I will say that in the party forum.”
In response to a question from a journalist about the investigation, Dipu Moni said that if the Ministry of Education investigates, questions will arise. So it is better if someone else investigates. I also want an investigation.
Incidentally, before the government acquired the land for the establishment of the University of Science and Technology in Chandpur, it has been alleged that the 62-and-a-half acres of land there was deeded at a price 20 times higher than the mouza price.
