20 lakh students are taking SSC and equivalent exams

Secondary School Certificate(SSC) and equivalent exams of 2023 are starting simultaneously across the country on Sunday (April 30).

This year the number of candidates in 11 education boards is 20 lakh 72 thousand 163. Among them, the number of male students is 10 lakh 21 thousand 197 while 10 lakh 50 thousand 966 are female students.

This year, there are 3 thousand 810 centers of 29 thousand 798 educational institutions in 11 education boards. Among them, 9 general education boards have 2 thousand 244 centers of 17 thousand 786 educational institutions. Madrasa Education Board has a total 716 centers of 9 thousand 85 educational institutions. Technical education board has a total 850 centers of total educational institutes 2 thousand 927. This year the total number of educational institutions increased by 207 and centers increased by 20.

This year the exam will be held with full marks and full time on the revised short syllabus. Exam start time is 10 am and end time is 1 pm. Candidates must enter the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.

It is known from the group-wise statistics of 9 general education boards of SSC examination, 5 lakh 44 thousand 574 people in science, 8 lakh 23 thousand 885 candidates in humanities and 2 lakh 80 thousand 816 candidates in business education will participate in the SSC exam.
