Iqbal is temporarily expelled by the Cumilla ‘Varsity administration

Mohammad Iqbal Monowar, a student of the 2017-2018 academic year of the English department of the university, has been temporarily expelled from the university for distorting the speech of Cumilla University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. AFM Abdul Moin and spreading misleading and false information.

On Wednesday (August 2), this information was informed in a circular signed by Cumilla University Registrar (Acting) Md. Amirul Haque Chowdhury.

It is said in the circular that on July 31, the speeches of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. AFM Abdul Moin delivered in a function of the university was distorted in a press report.Taking into consideration the situation arising in the context of discrediting the reputation of the university by distorting the statement of AFM Abdul Moin, the preliminary report and recommendations of the proctorial body were approved in the high-level meeting of the university administration held on July 2. Iqbal Monowar was temporarily expelled from the university.

Earlier, on July 31, the online version of Daily Jai Jai Din newspaper published a news titled 'Corruption is happening so development is happening in Bangladesh: CU VC' which was promoted by Mohammad Iqbal Monowar alias Rudra Iqbal being the University Correspondent of Daily Jai Jain Din. The vice chancellor of Cumilla University claimed that the statement of the vice chancellor of the university has been distorted in this news.
