In just 27 days after the start of the journey, Bangladesh Railway earned Tk. 1 crore 38 lakh 20 thousand from the Cox's Bazar Express train, said Golam Rabbani, station master in charge of Cox's Bazar iconic railway station.

Confirming the matter on Wednesday (December 20), he said that in the first month (27 days), 28,620 AC and non-AC tickets were sold online and offline in Cox's Bazar Express, from which the income was Tk. 1 crore 38 lakh 20 thousand.

He also said that every day 2 lakh people charge for tickets online. But the seats are less than the demand. Therefore, the process of connecting two more trains from January 1 is going on.

Note that the maximum speed limit for passenger trains on the Dhaka-Cox's Bazar route is 120 kilometers per hour. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina ordered two trains to run from December during the inauguration of the Cox's Bazar rail link on November 11 after the successful operation of several rounds of experimental trains.
