Election commissioner Md. Alamgir said that the law enforcement forces have been instructed not to work for or against any candidate, including working with honesty and impartiality.

He said this to reporters after exchanging views with the law enforcement and field administration officials on the occasion of the election at the election building on Thursday (December 21) at around 6:30 p.m.

Regarding the anti-voting strike-blockade and burning, the Election Commissioner said, I visited 14 districts and did not see any such signs of agitation. What I see is what I see in your media. Apart from this, in reality I did not see anything in all the districts I visited.

He also said that going to 14 districts means going through different places. I saw the normal life of people there; people has taken voting as a festival. I have seen various processions, I have seen election rallies. But I have not seen any speech or program against any election.

Regarding the meeting between the law enforcement forces and the candidates, he said that the challenges faced by the law enforcement forces were discussed today. They told us the plans they have to meet that challenge. Some recommendations for their preparation are given. It was discussed that they can take measures before any kind of vandalism happens. It has also been said that those who will carry out the duties should carry out their duties impartially.

And in the afternoon there was a discussion with the candidates. There, independent candidates have expressed doubts whether they will be able to campaign properly. We have assured them of their safety. This time we have sub-committees and committees. Through which we can bring any problem to our attention. These committees have never been elected before. One way or the other they will come to our notice and we will be able to take action accordingly.

A new apprehension has arisen for boycotting the vote, where the candidates and how apprehensive you are, he said, candidates have not shown much apprehension about it. They said, they (the opposition) are talking like this. We are not worried about this.
