The Prime Minister said that when human rights violations occur in the United States, they do not look at their own country. People are shot dead in schools, restaurants. I do not know who allowed them to wrap. They remain silent on Palestine. They take one stand on Ukraine, another on Palestine. They pay Israel to buy weapons. My question is what the country’s definition of human rights is.
At the beginning of the program, the Prime Minister said, "My grandchildren are with their parents abroad, so I can't see them." I got a bunch of grandchildren today.
About Smart Bangladesh, she said, in 1996, I saw that no one was very interested in computers and science. So I was emphasizing on computers when I came to power. We have met the target. Now there is internet connectivity in the country. Satellites have been launched. 4G is being used in the country. Preparations are underway for the launch of 5G. While thinking about the next step, my son (Sajib Wazed Joy) gave the idea to build Smart Bangladesh.
She said, our boys and girls will acquire their own skills and will develop skilled manpower in education and technology. Besides, the government should also make a smart government. When I first came I saw that the computers were arranged, but no one touched them. Now everyone has these devices in hand. I made everything digital. After I came to the government, I opened up mobile phones to everyone. I started using computers in school. Now everywhere people are used to computer.
She also said that we will do all government work through digital devices, that is our goal. There will be a smart government. Also our economy will be smart. If the government is digitized, our working hours will be saved; there will be no problem in communication and transportation. We also want our society to use digital devices. Now everything from pension can be done online.
The head of government said that she does not want to see the youth of the country being discriminated against in any matter. She doesn't want anyone to be held back for any reason, regionalism or gender discrimination. She wants everyone to work and improve their lives. I want to give that assurance.
She also said, I want each of them to stand in the society with a right and act accordingly. We have created this situation.
