150 platoons of BGB have been deployed in Dhaka division

1 thousand 151 platoons of BGB have been deployed across the country including the capital to ensure peace and security in the upcoming 12th JS elections. 151 platoon BGB has been deployed in Dhaka division to control any situation round the clock, said Sector Commander Colonel Abu Mohammad Mohiuddin.

He gave this information to reporters at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital on Friday (December 28) night.

Colonel Mohiuddin said, 'We will be engaged under the guidance of the Election Commission from today (December 29) to next (January 10). We will work as BGB mobile striking force in 9 districts of Dhaka division. We are able to control any situation. We will work to ensure security as well.

Inquiring whether there is any hindrance in the patrolling before the election, he said, "You have seen that there have been incidents of vandalism including fire in the train in Tejgaon." BGB is deployed round the clock. We are working under the guidance of the Election Commission on the occasion of the parliamentary elections. But if there is any small threat, you have seen arson attacks in some places in the last election as we are working on security. We hope that the voters will come to vote in a safe environment in a fair and beautiful election.

Regarding the Dhaka division, he said that BGB has been deployed at all times in important places of 51 constituencies in 9 districts of Dhaka district including the capital. Out of this, 50 platoons of security have been provided through 13 base camps in Dhaka alone. Besides, 151 platoons of BGB have been deployed in 9 districts including the capital. Apart from this, there are some remote areas of Munshiganj, Manikganj district and special arrangements will be made for security there.

When asked whether there are any instructions to the common people, he said, 'BGB's striking force will work to increase confidence among the common people. We hope that it will come safely to the polling station. We will work on security in coordination with other forces.
