The prime minister said these things at the National Jute Day-2024 celebration at the Bangabandhu International Conference on Thursday (March 14).

Jute is an agricultural product while on the other hand it is a raw material for industry. But it is an eco-friendly product. Nothing of jute can be thrown away. Everything in jute is useful. In the field where the farmer cultivates jute, he also cultivates paddy. Because jute leaf rots increases soil fertility.
She said, everyone should focus on the production of exportable jute products. You are responsible for discovering new products and creating new markets. Jute products are versatile and what can be made needs to be focused on which product has more demand for export. Golden fiber will play a big role in building Sonar Bangla.
Sheikh Hasina said, many markets are waiting for us. Multipurpose production and use of jute should be ensured. Jute agricultural products are again the raw material of industry. Export is also done. It does not get incentives for agriculture, nor does it get incentives for exports. I will give recognition and incentives to agricultural and export-oriented products that are eco-friendly.
She said many jute mills were unprofitable. I closed them and gave fair dues to the workers. I did not give full cash. I saved the family

It has invented the mystery of the birth of jute. It increased the importance of jute. Jute has many uses. Jute furniture and furniture can be made. It reduces dependence on trees. As it is an eco-friendly product, we also have increased opportunities. If the production of jute and jute products can be increased, the export route will be smooth. Production of export-oriented products should be increased.
