King of Bhutan is coming to Dhaka on a 4-day visit

King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan is arriving in Dhaka on Monday (March 25) on a 4-day visit. The king is scheduled to arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a special flight at 10am tomorrow. At this time, the President Sahabuddin and the First Lady will welcome the King with a song salute and a guard of honor.

After the ceremony at the airport, Raja Wangchuk will visit the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi No. 32 to pay his respects to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The King of Bhutan will meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office on Monday afternoon. They will also hold a meeting.

Several MoUs are likely to be signed between the two sides after the meeting. Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmood will meet the king at his temporary residence before meeting the Prime Minister on the same day.

The King will visit the Savar National Memorial the following day, Tuesday. At that time, the President and the Prime Minister will attend the great Independence Day program at the Savar National Memorial.

Later, the King of Bhutan will visit the Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute. He will then visit the Banga Bhavan, where he will be received by the President and the First Lady.

King will meet the President at 4:30 pm on Tuesday. The President will host an iftar and dinner in honor of the visiting royal family.
