Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) price has reduced. The price of 12 kg cylinder has been reduced by Tk. 40 from Tk. 1482 to Tk. 1442. On the other hand, autogas has been fixed at Tk. 66.21 per liter. The new rates will be effective from 6 p.m.

Till April 12, 2021, LPG rates were at the discretion of the companies. During the price announcement on April 12, it is said that the base price of this fuel, which is dependent on imports, will be the price announced by the Saudi state company Aramco. If Saudi prices go up and down, the base price will go up. Other commissions will remain unchanged. BERC has been announcing LPG rates every month since the announcement.
However, consumers are complaining about the prices announced by BERC in the market. Their complaint is that it is not available in the market at the fixed price. The sellers are charging the price as per his wish.
