The scorching sun of Baisakh was just above the head. The heat seemed to add to the thick crowd at the NCT-1 jetty venue amid a row of heavy machinery at the port. But where is the time to think about the heat of the relatives of the 23 sailors of MV Abdullah? As soon as the MV Jahan Moni-3 ship with the sailors came into sight in the Karnaphuli river, they looked at it with tireless eyes.

Relatives greeted the sailors by waving their hands as the ship approached. The sailors also responded to that greeting.

Earlier on Tuesday (May 14) from noon on the bank of Karnaphuli River in the NCT-1 Jetty area of Chattogram Port, chairs and tables were hung with awnings and red carpets were laid in front of them. The port authorities organized so many celebrations to welcome the 23 sailors of the MV Abdullah back home after being freed from the pirates of Somalia.

MV Abdullah anchored at Qutubdia on Monday evening exactly one month after being captured. 23 sailors boarded another ship and touched the ground of the port city at 4 pm on Tuesday. The Chattogram Port Authority has organized a reception on the occasion of the homecoming of 'Fearless' sailors. This event will be held at 4 pm. However, before that, the venue was filled with media workers from 2 pm.

Relatives of the sailors came to the spot to welcome their loved ones. Mehrul Karim, the owner of the ship, KSRM, and other officials have also appeared.

At this time, Mehrul Karim said, the long wait is over. We were trying to get 23 sailors back home safely. Alhamdulillah our efforts have been successful. We now want to hand over the sailors to their families as soon as possible.'
