The United States is interested in rebuilding relations with Bangladesh. US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu, who is visiting Bangladesh, said this to Prime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F. Rahman.

When asked whether there was any discussion about BNP, Minister of Information State Minister Ali Arafat said that there was no discussion about politics, human rights. Basically, they have discussed the issues they want to work with Bangladesh.

The US delegation left Salman F Rahman's house after dinner at 10:45 PM. Later, Masud bin Momen told reporters that there was a fruitful discussion. Both countries have agreed on bilateral cooperation.
