Noting that there is no mention of anti-corruption in the laws and regulations of the ministries, Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Moinuddin Abdullah said that all the ministries have opened the barrage of corruption. Ministries should have anti-corruption clauses in their laws.

He said these things at the ACC Media Award-2020 and 2021 award distribution ceremony at the ACC office in Segunbagicha in the capital on Monday (June 10).

Commenting that it is a very difficult task to prove corruption, the ACC chairman said that it is not possible for the ACC alone to suppress all types of corruption. Ministries are not taking action against corruption. If they had taken action, so many complaints would not have come to ACC. If action is taken against corruption on their part, the ACC will receive fewer complaints - that is what the ACC wants. It is important to prevent corruption in all cases. The work done by journalists and the work done by ACC are complementary to each other.

12 Journalist winners in print, online and electronic media for 2020 and 2021 received crests, certificates and financial honors from the ACC Chairman.

ACC Commissioner Md. Zahurul Haque said, those who have power in the society do corruption. You bring forward CIP, VIP- those who are involved in corruption. You have to expose their face through writing. They should be socially boycotted. In this case, the powerful should not be afraid. Black should always be called black.

ACC Commissioner Mosammat Asia Khatun said, a beautiful generation should be left behind for the future of Bangladesh. And for this we all have to work together. The country must move forward.

ACC Secretary Khorsheda Yasmin, Jury Board Chairman Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul and members of the board were also present.
