Benapole-Petrapole Port Workshop held on Trade Expansion

A Workshop was held on problems, opportunities and developmental activities in expanding trade between India-Bangladesh land ports.

The workshop was held between the representatives of the two countries at Benapole Customs House Auditorium from 9 am to 3 pm on Monday (June 10).

Chairman of land port authorities of both countries, customs and police, immigration, BGB and BSF officials were present in the workshop. In the discussion, views were exchanged between each other on various issues in the expansion of Bangladesh's trade with India. The representatives of the two countries agreed on the development activities.

On behalf of Bangladesh in the workshop, a delegation of 33 members led by Bangladesh Land Port Chairman Zillur Rahman Chowdhury attended.

On the other hand, 33 members led by Aditya Misra, Chairman of India Land Ports, joined the Indian side.

Participants in the workshop believe that such workshops will play a major role in expanding trade.
