Nobel laureate, the head of the newly formed interim government Dr. Muhammad Yunus called on Rangpur residents to emancipate the whole of Bangladesh. Remembering Begum Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain, the pioneer of women's awakening, he said, Begum Rokeya liberated women, now Rangpur will liberate the whole of Bangladesh.
He made this call to the students of Begum Rokeya University while visiting Rangpur to meet the family of Begum Rokeya University student Abu Sayed on Saturday (August), who was killed in the anti-discrimination student movement.
When calling Dr. Yunus said, the new Bangladesh is the Bangladesh of young people. No one can hold back the youth now, the way must be cleared.
He also said, you will keep Hindus, Buddhists, Christians safe. Say, we are all brothers. Bangladesh is a family. There are many countries in the world, there is no such beautiful family. Such a beautiful country, where could we go! If only you could keep your mind strong. And if we opened the way for the youth, we would be free.
Mentioning the incident of his establishment of Grameen Bank, the Chief Advisor said, giving money in the hands of women was a challenge. But I accepted that challenge. Women have gradually developed. The social business model has gained global acceptance. He remembered Begum Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain of Rangpur in view of liberating women to become self-reliant. Besides, the students of Begum Rokeya University are urged to propose various demands in written form, said Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
