The Interim Government has decided to open the Ganobhaban to the public and make it a July Uprising Memorial Museum.
On Thursday (September 5) in the office of the Chief Adviser this decision was taken in the advisory council meeting presided over by Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
Adviser to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Asif Mahmud gave this information in a press conference at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital after the meeting of the advisery council.
He said, Gonobhavan will be converted into July Uprising Memorial Museum. The memorial museum will be kept as it was during the July uprising. This important decision was taken in the advisery council meeting.
Asif Mahmud said, such a memorial was made in South Korea. Also happened in other countries. Knowing from them, Gonobhavan will be made a memorial museum. There the activities of the fascist government will be displayed.
Incidentally, the only official residence of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was Ganobhaban.
