Naryanganj: RAB has arrested three people after 11 years of the sensational murder of Tanveer Muhammad Toqi in Narayanganj. The court granted a six-day remand to each of them.
On Monday and Tuesday (September 9 and 10), the judge granted their remand after hearing at the Narayanganj Judicial Magistrate Court. The arrested are Mamun, Sharif and Kajal.
Narayanganj Court Police Inspector Abdur Rashid confirmed the remand of the accused.
Commander (CO) of RAB-11 Lt. Col. Tanveer Mahmood Pasha said that three people involved in the Toqi murder have been arrested.
On March 6, 2013, Tanveer Muhammad Toqi was abducted from Bangabandhu road in Narayanganj city. Then on March 8, his mutilated body was recovered from the Kumudini canal adjacent to Shitalakshya river. In this incident, the victim's father, Rafiur Rabbi, filed a case at the Sadar police station as the plaintiff.
