Khatib Mufti of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Ruhul Amin has been removed from the post of Khatib.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs announced this information in a press release on Sunday (September 22).
The press release was signed by Public relations officer of the Ministry Md. Abubakar Siddiq said, Khatib Mufti of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Ruhul Amin has been removed from the post of Khatib following due process.
It should be noted that on Friday (September 20) due to Khatib complications, the worshipers had to offer Friday prayers at National Mosque Baitul Mukarram. A khatib was giving a speech in Baitul Mukarram before the start of Friday prayers. At that time, Khatib Maulana Mufti Ruhul Amin came to Baitul Mukarram Mosque with his followers, took the microphone of the narrating Khatib and said that he would lead prayer.
The other worshipers refused and continued to speak falsely. At one stage, a scuffle took place between the two sides. Later shoe rakes were thrown and clashes ensued. Several people were injured in this incident. The common worshipers of the mosque were upset due to this incident.
Army members came to the mosque after receiving the news. Later, when the situation was somewhat under control, ordinary worshipers entered the mosque again around 1:15. Then the ordinary worshipers performed the Friday prayer in the midst of the situation.
