Dhaka: A court has granted a four-day remand to former Election Commission (EC) Secretary Helaluddin Ahmed. He has been arrested in the murder case of BNP activist Maqbul filed at the capital's Paltan Police Station.
Judge Nazmin Akhter of the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court passed the order on Friday (October 25) afternoon.
Earlier, the police had produced him in the court this afternoon and applied for a 10-day remand in the murder case.
It is worth noting that he was arrested by the Kotwali Police Station from Khulshi in Chattogram city at around 6 pm on Wednesday (September 23).
