A 32-year-old Bangladeshi named Mohammad Nizam Uddin has died in an Israeli attack in Lebanon. The Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut reported this information on Saturday (November 2) night, local time in Lebanon.
The embassy said that Israel attacked a residential building without warning on Saturday (November 2) afternoon, local time. At that time, Nizam was in a coffee shop there. He was killed on the spot after the attack. Later, his body was taken to Mount Lebanon Hospital. They said his body is kept in the morgue there.
This is the first report of a Bangladeshi death since the Israeli attack in Lebanon began.
The deceased Nizam is the son of Mohammad Abdul Quddus of Kharera area of Kasba upazila in Brahmanbaria.
A press release from the embassy authorities said that Bangladesh Ambassador to Lebanon Air Vice Marshal Javed Tanvir Khan expressed deep grief over the death of remittance fighter Mohammad Nizam Uddin and prayed for the eternal peace of his departed soul. He also extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
