BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has called for care that fascists do not return in the upcoming elections.

He accompanied the Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain paying homage at the mausoleum of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital on Sunday (November 3) afternoon.

Mirza Fakhrul said, the way the students and public of this country brought down the fascist government will never be accepted again. Various conspiracies are going on in the country. We have to unite and confront this conspiracy.

He said, Chattogram City Corporation had won by contesting the popular leader vote, but the fascists of the Awami League forcibly snatched that result. I thank the judicial system for declaring Dr. Shahadat elected through a fair trial. I also thank the interim government for accepting the court's verdict and swearing in the mayor of Chattogram City Corporation.

Meanwhile, after taking charge as the mayor of Chattoghram, Dr. Shahadat Hossain said, "I will continue to work towards the goal of making the Chattogram City Corporation a green and clean city corporation, as was the manifesto of Tarique Rahman and Khaleda Zia."

He also commented that if Chattogram survives, Bangladesh will survive.

BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Vice Chairman Barkat Ullah Bhulu, Joint Secretary General Mahmud Nabi Sohel, and Chattogram BNP Metropolitan and divisional leaders and activists were present to pay their respects.
