The Ministry of Religious Affairs has called for prayers in all mosques of the country on the next three Fridays for the victims of the mass uprising.

This was announced in a notification sent by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Md. Abubakar Siddique, on Monday (November 11).

It is said that the Ministry of Religious Affairs has decided to hold prayers and Doa in all mosques of the country on November 15, 22 and 29 after Friday prayers to pray for the forgiveness of the souls of the martyrs of the mass uprising and the recovery of the injured and sick.

It is worth noting that the government has been able to confirm the death of 737 people in the mass uprising of students and the public. According to the human rights organization Human Rights Support Society (HRSS), the number of people killed in the uprising is 875. However, the Health Sub-Committee of the Anti-Discrimination Movement and the National Citizens' Committee claim that at least 1,581 people have died in the movement.

The government has formed a task force committee to compile a list of casualties. They are being assisted by the Health Subcommittee of the Anti-Discrimination Movement. None of them could say exactly when the list will be finalized. Analysts say that this list should be finalized on a priority basis.

The official count puts the number of injured in the coup at around 23,000. The HRSS says the number is 30,000. And the Health Subcommittee of the Anti-Discrimination Movement claims that more than 31,000 people were injured in the movement. The official count is around 800 seriously injured. Of these, 400 have lost their eyes. 35 have lost both eyes. Some have also been mutilated, some have had their hands or feet amputated. It is not certain whether all of their names will be included in the list.
