Md. Kajal Miah, who was shot during the anti-discrimination student-people's revolution, has been sent to Thailand for better treatment.

She was sent to Thailand by air ambulance around 11 pm on Sunday (November 17). He is scheduled to receive treatment at Bejthani Hospital in Thailand.

Health Adviser Nurjahan Begum was at the airport and bade farewell to Kajal.

At that time, she said that Tk. 64 lakh was spent on the air ambulance alone for Kajal Miah. Besides, 20 more people will be sent abroad for treatment. Out of them, 7 will be sent to Turkey. Turkey will bear the cost of treatment of these 7 people.

In addition, the health officials also said that specialist doctors are being brought in from outside to treat the injured.

It is learned that Md. Kajal Miah, a student of the English department of Jahangirnagar University, was shot by the police during the anti-discrimination movement. He was shot in the head in Jatrabari, Dhaka, on August 5. Later, he was taken to the National Institute of Neurosciences Hospital in Dhaka. He was undergoing treatment there.

Associate Professor of Neurosciences Hospital Dr. Humayun Kabir Himu told the media that Kajal underwent surgery on his head. Although his condition gradually improved during three months of treatment at HDU, his left hand and leg became completely paralyzed. He needed robotic physiotherapy. But the medical board decided to send him abroad as there was no such facility in the country.
