14 people, including 10 former ministers of the Awami League government, two advisers, a retired judge and a former secretary, were to be brought to the International Crimes Tribunal in the case filed in the July-August massacre, but 13 accused have been brought to the tribunal from Keraniganj Central Prison.
Abdur Razzak will not appear in the tribunal today as he is on remand in another case.
Meanwhile, security has been strengthened in front of the International Crimes Tribunal since Monday (November 18) morning. The investigating agency will apply for extension of the investigation time of the genocide case today.
Those who were produced are - former minister Anisul Haque, Farooq Khan, Dr. Dipu Moni, Rashed Khan Menon, Hasanul Haque Inu, Shahjahan Khan, Junaid Ahmed Palak, Salman F. Rahman, Dr. Taufiq-e-Ilahi Chowdhury, Kamal Ahmed Majumder, Golam Dastgir Gazi, retired Justice Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik and former Home Secretary Jahangir Alam. Currently they are all in jail.
On October 27, the ICT headed by Justice Md. Golam Mortuza Majumder, Justice Md. Shafiul Alam Mahmud and Judge Md. Mohitul Haque Enam Chowdhury ordered to produce them.
