A total of 18,149 people will be appointed through five BCS, said Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Md. Mokhles Ur Rahman.
He gave this information at a press conference at the Secretariat on Sunday (November 24).
The Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration said that out of these, 12,710 people will be appointed in cadre posts. In cadre posts, 2,064 people will be appointed in the 43rd BCS, 1,710 people in the 44th BCS, 2,309 people in the 45th BCS, 3,140 people in the 46th BCS and 3,487 people in the 47th BCS.
And 5,439 people will be appointed in non-cadre posts. 642 people will be appointed from the 43rd BCS in non-cadre posts, 1791 from the 44th BCS, 1570 from the 45th BCS, 1111 from the 46th BCS, and 325 from the 47th BCS, including 18,149 people in cadre and non-cadre posts.
Mokhles Ur Rahman said that a maximum of more than 4,000 people will be appointed from the 46th BCS. The PSC is scrutinizing the results of the 43rd BCS due to criticism after the publication of the gazette. Moreover, the viva voce examination of the 44th BCS will be retaken. In addition, the answer sheets of the 45th BCS written examination will be re-evaluated by a third examiner.
He also said that the circular of the 47th BCS will be published soon.
He also said that quotas will be implemented in new jobs as per the court verdict. Arrangements are being made for promotion from the deputy secretary to the joint secretary post. The fit list of the district administrators will be prepared anew. In addition, additional secretaries will be given grade one so that they can retire with peace of mind. He also said that other cadres will be promoted as per the rules at this time.
