It was his parents' dream that his son would one day return home as an engineer. However, Mubatashin Rahman Mahin returned home dead before that dream could be fulfilled.

He was buried after a funeral prayer at his native Jummapara area and Jamiatul Karimiya Nurul Uloom Madrasa in Rangpur city on Sunday (November 24) afternoon.

Earlier, Mubatashin Rahman Mahin died after being electrocuted in a bus carrying students of the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) in Gazipur on Saturday (November 23).

According to family and local sources, Mubatashin Rahman Mahin, a resident of Rangpur, was a student of the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) in Gazipur. On Saturday (November 23), Mahin was electrocuted in a double-decker bus in Sreepur during a picnic organized by his institution. Seeing him running away, his friend Jobair Alam (Sakib) rushed to help. Both friends died while going ahead. Another friend of theirs, Mir Mozammel Naeem (23), also died in the accident. The three friends were third-year students of the Mechanical and Production Engineering Department of the Islamic University of Gazipur. The three friends had to return home as corpses before fulfilling their dream of looking after their families after passing.

It is learned that Mubtashin's father is Imtiazur Rahman, a local resident of Jummapara in Rangpur city. He is the manager of AB Bank, Nilphamari Syedpur branch. Mahin's mother Nazmunnahar is a housewife. The eldest son in the family was Mubtashin Rahman Mahin. The younger brother Mostain is a third-grade student at Police Lines School and College in Rangpur. They were studying in an international-standard university to fulfill their parents' dreams.

Mubtashin's uncle Hasanur Rahman said, "My nephew Mahim passed away today due to the negligence of such a renowned institution. The state system has placed electric wires on the road in such a way that the electric wires took away the life of a flower. May no one else's life be lost prematurely like Mahin's. A healthy child who was to become an engineer after 4 months returned as a dead body, who will take responsibility for this? We want a fair trial.

Since morning, before Mahin's body reached the house, relatives and neighbors were seen crying in grief. They say, Mahin is the eldest son of the family. His parents raised him with so much difficulty. Today, innocent Mahin lost his life due to the negligence of the educational institution. This was never an accident, but a death due to negligence."
