BNP-backed 15 candidates win in Chuadanga District Bar Association elections

15 candidates, including the BNP-backed president and general secretary, have been declared winners in the annual election of the Chuadanga District Bar Association.

On Monday (November 25), the names of the winning candidates, who were elected unopposed, were hung on the notice board of the District Bar Association by the convener of the election management sub-committee, Adv. Md. Shah Alam.

The leaders of the newly elected committee of Chuadanga District Bar Association for 2025 are - Sayeed Mahmud Shamim Reza Dalim (president), Md. Ahsan Ali (general secretary), Manzar Ali Joardar Helal (vice president), Abdullah Al-Mamun Ershad (vice president), SM Humayun Kabir (joint secretary), Mashiur Rahman Parvez (joint secretary), SNA Hashemi (treasurer), Zillur Rahman Jalal (library secretary), Md. Shahjamal Jamal (Sports and Cultural Secretary), Rubina Parvin Ruma (Member), Bazlur Rahman Dablu (Member), Muhammad Ikramul Haque (Member), Ragib Ahsan (Member), Ashikur Rahman Raj (Member) and Shariful Islam (Member).

Incidentally, in the Chuadanga District Bar Association elections, the BNP-backed National Lawyers' Unity Council withdrew and submitted 15 nomination papers. On the other hand, the Awami League-backed Coordination Council withdrew its nomination papers for four posts, including the post of President, and one independent candidate for the post of General Secretary, but later, as no one submitted their nomination papers, the BNP-backed candidates were elected unopposed.
