Condemning the murder of a lawyer in the port city of Chattogram, Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has called on everyone to remain calm. At the same time, he has ordered an investigation into the murder and proper legal process.

The notification said that Professor Muhammad Yunus has called on the people to remain calm and stay away from participating in unpleasant activities in this incident. He has also ordered law enforcement agencies to strengthen security in all risky surrounding areas including the port city.
He said that the interim government is committed to ensuring and upholding communal harmony in Bangladesh at any cost.
