Dhaka: The Office of the Chief Justice has expressed deep concern over the untoward incident that took place on Wednesday at the Supreme Court premises in Bangladesh, as well as the unprecedented incidents that have taken place in judicial premises across the country.
In a statement on Thursday (November 28), the Office of the Chief Justice reiterated its commitment to the smooth functioning of the judicial system across the country.
It said that the Chief Justice has expressed deep concern over the untoward incident that took place yesterday at the Supreme Court premises and the recent untoward situations that have arisen in the district courts of the country.
It was further said that the Supreme Court is closely monitoring the overall situation so that the courts of the country can provide judicial services to the litigants without any hindrance. Despite all the adversities and untoward situations, judicial services continue to be provided in the courts of the country.
The Chief Justice has already taken necessary steps to prevent a recurrence of such situations in the courts of the country. The Chief Justice has directed all courts and tribunals in the country to maintain their normal operations and continue to provide judicial services to the people seeking justice in the larger interest of the country.
