Dhaka: Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus listened to stories of their experiences and movements from students and women of all ages who participated in the anti-discrimination movement in July-August.
The Ministry of Women and Child Affairs organized a meeting with the Chief Adviser at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital on Tuesday (December 10). The program was named 'Daughters of July... We will not let you disappear'.
During the program, Dr. Muhammad Yunus said, today is a day of great excitement, anger, and emotion. Today is a day to express everything together. We are here because of excitement. If there was no excitement and anger, we would not be able to survive as human beings. These exist and will remain. We will express them whenever necessary. We will express them wherever and however much is needed. May we have that strength.
The chief adviser said, school-college-university-working girls and even those living at home... Everyone has joined this movement from wherever they are and has come forward equally. It has completely changed Bangladesh. As a result, the Bangladesh of before August 5 is no more. This is a new Bangladesh. We will build this new Bangladesh.
Dr. Yunus said to the revolutionary women, I have met you today; this is a historic day for me. The level you have taken Bangladesh to today is a historic event. I sincerely thank the heroines of this historic event.
