Mirza Fakhrul condoles the death of journalist Syed Saleh Akram

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed his condolences over the death of news anchor Syed Abu Saleh Akram. He passed away at Delta Hospital in the capital on Saturday night due to old age. He was 75 years old at the time of his death.

He expressed his condolences in a press release sent to the media on Monday (December 23) signed by BNP Deputy Office Secretary Adv. Md. Taiful Islam Tipu.

In his condolence message, he said, "Like his family, I deeply sympathize with the death of Saleh Akram." He served as a senior news presenter for Bangladesh Betar, Bangladesh Television and BBC Bangla Dhaka for a long time and performed his duties very efficiently. He also narrated the plot of the historical documentary film 'Bangladesh Amar Bangladesh' made on the Liberation War during the four-party coalition government in 2006.

He was a skilled and knowledgeable newsreader who prioritized dedication and honesty in performing his duties. In this regard, he was uncompromising in his professionalism. I pray for the forgiveness of his departed soul and express my condolences to his family and well-wishers.
