Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that it has been decided to change the uniforms of the three law enforcement forces of the country - Police-RAB-ANSAR.

He gave this information at the meeting of the Advisory Council Committee on Law and Order on Monday (January 20) morning.

The Home Affairs Adviser said, "A decision has been made to change the uniforms of the three forces - Police, RAB, Ansar. I hope that along with the uniforms, their mindset will also change."

Regarding the recommendations of the Police Reform Commission, Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said, "The report of the commission has not reached us yet. The recommendations they have made are good. But it will take time to implement them. Before that, they will have to change their mindset."

Regarding the tension on the border, the Home Affairs Adviser said, "Since the BGB does not have sound grenades and tear shells, they were not used. They have lethal weapons. Now permission has been given to buy sound grenades and tear shells because the Indian Border Guard has them.’ Stating that the number of illegal foreigners in the country is decreasing, Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said, ‘Many are living illegally in the country. The number was 49,226 earlier. It has now decreased to 33,648. They will have to leave the country by January 31. Otherwise, legal action will be taken. Legal action will also be taken against those who provided them with employment.’
