UN stresses on the1971 genocide in Bangladesh

Dhaka,(Barta24.com): United Nations Organization(UNO) will raise in the International forum about the  genocide in Bangladesh carried on by Pakistan in 1971.

UN Under Secretary General and Prevention of Genocide affairs adviser Adama Dienge on Sunday(March24)  told this in a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in her Tejgaon office in a courtesy call. 

Dienge told that though few countries will oppose it still we will raise the matter about the worst genocide that took place in Bangladesh during the liberation war of 1971.

After the meeting Press Secretary of Prime Minister Ehsanul Karim Helal briefed the journalists about the meeting.

The Prime Minister told to the visiting UN official that Pakistan started the genocide following the night of March 25,1971 and continued till the liberation was achieved. During this time the occupation Pakistan army killed 30 lakhs  Bangalees and violated the chastity of two lakhs women. 

Sheikh Hasina told in this connection that the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman rehabilitated these wretched women.

Press Secretary informed that the Prime Minister and the Under Secretary General also discussed the Rohingya issue.

Adam Dienga termed the tortures of Myanmar government on the Rohingya as genocide and expressed the UN support for Bangladesh in this matter.

Dienga told that the authority carrying on genocide in Myanmar will be brought to justice.

Dienga at this time mentioned three top women leadership in the world. Dienga told that they are  Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Angela Merkel of Germany and Prime Minister New Zealand  Jesinda Ahdarn.

Press Secretary informed that the Under Secretary profusely appreciated Sheikh Hasina saying that you did  lot for the empowerment of women and termed the PM as “the  symbol of women empowerment”. 

Adama Dienga remembered the Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and termed the late leader as the “ Human of Peace.”

In the meeting chief adviser of Safe and Sarf foundation Syed Nazibul Bashar Maizebhandary MP, PM’s Principal Secretary Md. Nazibur Rahman and Military Secretary Major General Mia Mohammad Zainul Abedin and others were present.
