Dhaka,(Barta24.com): For bravery and service category fifty one members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) were given RAB Director General (DG) Awards on Tuesday (March 26) the day of Independence coinciding the 15th founding anniversary of the organization. As rewards they were given crest, certificate, cash money and badge.
It is learnt from RAB headquarters that as recognition of heroic activities and successful raid operation in 2018, 34 Rab members were awarded special mementos for ‘bravery’ and for administrative and service recognition 25 Rab members were awarded specially.
The bravery awards went to Rab-1 soldier Md. Rakib Hossain, Rab-2 Inspector Md. Atiqur Rahman, Inspector of Rab-3 Md. Omor Faruk, Havildar Md. Abu Isahaque Ali, Rab-4 ASP Md. Sajedul Islam Sajal, Rab-5 ASP Md. Anowar Hossain, Md. Azmal Hossain, Warrant Officer Md. Shahbul Alam, Sergeant Md. Tipu Sultan, Rab-6 ASI Jwel Chandra Biswas, Rab-7 ASP Md. Nuruzzaman, Md. Mashqur Rahman, Kazi Md. Tarek Aziz, Warrant Officer Md. Alamgir Kabir Khan, Rab-8 ASP Mukul Chakma, Sergeant Md. Abdus Shukur, Rab-10 ASI Md. Golam Raihan, Rab-11 Lance Nyack Md. Md. Alamgir Hossain, ASI Md. Belal Hossain, Rab-12 ASP Md. Rowshan Ali, Rab-13 ASP Md. Ahsan Habib, ASP Md. Habibur Rahman, Rab-14 Constable Md. Arman Hossain, Rab-15 L.S Towhidul Islam Operation Wing Lance Corporal Subhash Chakma, Senior Warrant Officer of Intelligence Wing Md. Jamaluddin Khan, SCPO Syed Nowsher Ali, Lance Corporal Md. Rokon Ali, Md. Rashedul Islam, ASI Md. Mirajul Islam, Soldier Md. Rafiqul Islam, Warrant Officer Md. Manjurul Haque and Legal and Media Wing Executive Magistrate Md. Sarwar Alam.
Besides, 25 members of Rab were awarded for administrative and service oriented work.
Rab-7 ASP Kazi Md. Tarek Aziz who received Rab DG award for bravery told Barta24.com that to get reward is always a matter of great pride and it will inspire me to speed up my work in future and moreover my accountability has been enhanced to serve my country. When asked to his reactions about the award to Rab headquarter Legal and media Wing Assistant Director Mijanur Rahman told Barta24.com like every year the DG of Rab has given awards for bravery and service. The recipients got the awards on the basis of their performance.
