Dhaka,(Barta24.com): Institute of Engineers of Bangladesh(IEB) has formed an eight member committee to probe the FR tower fire accident located at Kamal Atartuk avenue of Banani in the capital.
On Friday(March29) a committee headed by the former president of IEB Engineer Md. Nurul Huda as the convener and Honorary general secretary(academic & International)as the member secretary was formed.
To find out the main reason of the devastating fire that so far claimed 25 lives trapped inside the multistoried building, the other members are IEB central council member Engineer Hamidul Haque, Professor Dr. Munaj Ahmed Noor, civil engineering department chairman of IEB Engineer Md. Habibur Rahman, mechanical department chairman Professor Dr. Engineer Md. Abdur Rashid Sarkar, Electrical department chairman Dr. Engineer Yasir Arafat and Chemical department member Dr. Engineer Yasir Arafat Khan.
The committee has been directed to file detailed report after a thorough enquiry of the unfortunate incident after seven days. The committee is supposed to make an on the spot probe of the FR tower fire accident, nearby buildings, collect data and also investigate the engineering and technical side of the whole gamut of the accident.
The probe report will have to submit to the Honorary general secretary of IEB Engineer Khondoker Monjur Morshed.
