Dhaka,(Barta24): Fire Service and Civil Defense directorate has marked 39 buildings and markets in the capital city Dhaka and adjoining districts as fire risky and accordingly they have sent a list of the buildings in the media on Friday (April 5 to make the people alert.
The directorate has also displayed banners in those buildings describing as risky to fire and also alerted the people about its use. The banner is inscribed as “the building is risky”.
The buildings are as follows:
Dhaka:- 1. Director of Fire Service & Civil Defense Directorate(Operation & Maintenance)Major Shakil Newaj said that during early survey by our department we identified the fire risky buildings, markets, residential buildings, commercial buildings, Industrial units, hospitals but no measure was taken by the owners to solve risks. Our survey will continue to identify the fire risks buildings.
He said that this directorate attaches highest importance to the lives of the people. So this survey would continue in the risky buildings. The directorate has taken this measure of displaying banners, because the building owners so far failed to take to rectify the risks. In future the directorate has a plan to file cases against them.
