The Sri Lanka returnee labors have no connection with series bomb attack

Dhaka,(Barta24.com): After long interrogation of the just returned Bangladeshi labors have no connection with Sri Lankan series bomb blast, said Counter Terrorism Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit chief Additional Police Commissioner  Manirul Islam on Saturday (April 27)  to the journalists at his office.

The returnee eleven labors who allegedly worked in the factory of one of the master minds Ibrahim Insaf Ahmmad.

Earlier the labors were sent back to Bangladesh after the suicidal bomb attack on church and hotels that caused the death of nearly 300 innocent people. On the night of April 26 they were detained at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by the Immigration police. 

They were interrogated by both Immigration police and CTTC and no involvement was found in them, said CTTC chief.

The labors returned on Friday noon (April 26) by Malind Airways flight.

CTTC sources informed that the labors worked in the copper factory of Ibrahim Insaf Ahmmad  and according to Sri Lankan media the bombs were manufactured in that very factory of Ibrahim Insaf Ahmmad. After the bomb attack the factory was closed down by the Sri Lankan authority while the labors were sent back to their respective countries.
