Dhaka (Barta24.com): Armed Forces Chief General Aziz Ahemd said that the all armed forces have been kept on the highest alert to face Fani.
On Thursady (MAY 2) while attending a prize distribution function of the firing competition of Armed Forces he informed the journalists. The competition was arranged at Savar cantonment firing range. General Aziz told that all the divisions and Area headquarters have been kept ready to face Fani. Contacts have been set up with the civil administration about this preparation. We have taken such pre-disaster, during disaster and post disaster measures regarding Foni that there will be no shortage of assistance of precautionary measures.
Eight armed forces personnel were awarded best firing prizes in the competition. In the competition 6 Independent ADA brigade was champion while the runner up trophy was handed over to 24 Infantry division.
Among others Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Lt. General Shafiqur Rahman, Dhaka Cantonment Log Area Commander Major General S.F Shafiuddin Ahmed, 9th Infantry Division GOC Major General Akbar Hossain and Military Secretary Major General Waquruzzaman were present.
Later on, the Armed Forces Chief laid the foundation stone of Savar Cantonment hockey ground and Army Institute of Business Administration.
