Dhaka: Police Bureau of Investigation(PBI) is going to submit the charge sheet in the tribunal of the sensitive Nustrat Jahan Rafi killing case of Sonagazi in Feni. PBI wanted in their charge sheet the death sentence of the Sonagazi Madarsha principal SM Sirajuddowla and 15 others accused.
On Tuesday(May 28) in their headquarter in Dhanmondi the Deputy Inspector General of police and PIB chief Bonoj Kumar Majumdar informed this while detailing the latest position of the case.
He told that of the total accused 12 accused have given their confessional statements in the court. Three accused who were examinees were involved with the direct murder. After the murder they took part in the examination.
The killers were waiting in the principal’s room wearing veil. Later on they called Nusrat to the roof. They poured kerosene on Nusrat’s body before kindling fire. At the time of setting fire two female students joined them. Of them Shampa and Mukta after setting fire took part in the examination.
Ninety two persons gave deposition as witnesses. PIB DIG informed that the charge sheet was prepared under Women & Child Repression law 2000 (revised 2003)4(1) & 4(1)/30.
The other accused are Nuruddin, 20, Shahdat Hossain Shamim, 20, Saifur Rahman, Mohammad Jobair,21, Maksud Alam,50, Jabed Hossain, 19, Hafez Abdul Kader, 25, Afsaruddin, 33, Kamrunnahar Moni,19, Umme Sultana Popi, 19, Iftekharuddin Rana, 22, Imran Hossain Mamun,22, Mohammad Shamim,55 and Mahiuddin Shakil,20.
