Bagerhat, (Barta24.com): Four alleged pirates of Hassan gang in the Sundarbans were killed in a ‘gun battle’ with RAB-8 members. The gun battle with Hassan gang took place in Jongra khal of Chandpai range.
The gang chief was also killed in this ‘gun battle’. Besides, 10 fire arms and few rounds of live cartridges were recovered from the pirates in this incident.
On Wednesday(May 29)morning deputy director of Legal and Media wing Major Raisul Islam at RAB headquarter has confirmed Barta24.com about this incident.
It is learnt from RAB sources, on Tuesday night (May 28) when a RAB-8 team was on petrol in the Jongra khal area of Chandpai range of the Sundarbans they were fired upon by the alleged pirates.
In reply RAB members fired gun shots against them when the pirates started retreating. Next the elite force members after searching out recovered four bodied including the body of the chief of the gang. The people living there identified the bodies of Hassan and his three accomplices.
