Dhaka: The workers who earlier returned from Malaysia will be able to go again there for employment. Malaysian government has given consent to reemploy the workers who returned back failing to get them registered under new system then they will be also brought back.’
Human Resources Minister of Malaysia M Kulusegaran said the employers can reappoint the workers who earlier returned to their countries.
This plan was adopted in the parliament of the country on Friday (May 31) which was dropped by the last government in all sectors.
The plan will be implemented from next July 1.
The earlier system had resulted in putting the employers in trouble to observe it mandatorily. Simultaneously it became costly for them to bring new workers as an alternative to old workers.
Kulusegaran told that the government believes that this will not increase the number of foreign workers rather the employers will get the permitted number of workers reappointed.
He further informed that due to crisis in various industries the government has taken this step. The employers will have to apply to the foreign workers management department to reemploy the old workers, he said.
