Faridpur, (Barta24.com): Senior journalist of this area Yusuf Reza Montu breathed his last today(Sunday)at his East Khabashpur residence after prolonged illness. He had been suffering from multiple old ages complications and was bed ridden for long time. He was 78.
Montu left behind wife, two daughters, one son, grand sons and grand daughters and a host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death.
Yusuf Reza Montu, primarily a businessman involved with journalism at early 70s. He started his career as Faridpur based correspondent of the daily Sangbad and also worked for Bangladesh Times.
Later on he brought out a weekly ‘Faridpur Barta’. He was the editor of this well reputed now defunct weekly newspaper of this district.
His namaz-e-Zanaja will be held after Esha prayer at Chawkbazar Jame mosque in the town. He was brought to Faridpur press club where his long time colleagues paid homage to Montu. He will be buried at Alipur graveyard.
