The physicians render services to the people directly. Though there are innumerable professions for livelihood but the medical profession is the only one by which people can be served directly. So the physicians should practice their profession with the mentality to serve. Every one should remember the dignity of this profession.
On Thursday (June 6) in an Eid reunion function held in a restaurant of the town the speakers told this. The Medical & Dental Association of Kushtia arranged this reunion function.
Speakers said that we must come out from the commission business of the clinics provided to the physicians for unnecessary pathological investigations. The physicians must not run after money rather to serve the ailing humanity. The speakers also suggested for arranging a day long free medical camp in the respective villages of the doctors once in a month.
BMA, Kushtia unit general secretary Dr. Aminul Haque Ratan was the chief guest in the reunion function.
The function chaired by the president of the organization Dr. Chanchal Mahmud it was addressed among others by the chief adviser of the organization Dr. Shafayet Muhammad Santunu, Kushtia district Awami League organizing secretary Shaikh Hassan Mehedi, Kushtia Press Club president Rashedul Islam Biplob, district Awami League member Habibul Haque Pulak, Mazharul Haque Suman and Dr. Nazmul Islam of Khulna Medical college.
About two hundred physicians and students were present in the function. It may be mentioned here that in 2014 Kushtia Medical & Dental Association was established.
The objects of this organization were to provide all out help and assistance to the intending candidates who want to take admission in the medical college and also to build up unity among the doctors.
