Depression in the Bay, sea ports to hoist warning signal no.3

A light depression has been created over North-West Bay of Bengal and other adjoining areas. Due to its impact stormy wind may blow over the coastal areas and on the sea ports of the country. So the sea ports Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payera have been told to show local warning signals.

The fishing trawlers and boats in the North-West Bay have been directed to move with cautious till further instructions.

Besides, rain and gusty winds at a speed from 45 to 60 kilometers may blow over Rajshahi, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet regions temporarily. So the river ports of theses areas have been told to show warning signal no. 1.

Weather man Shahinul Islam told Barta24.com that a light depression has been created in the Bay. For this reason as precautionary measures the sea ports were told to hoist warning signal no. 3 while the ricer ports to hoist warning signal no. 1. This signal will continue till further instructions. However there is no scare of conversion of this light depression into low depression.

He further informed that there may be rain fall for two more days in the Southern region including the capital. During this time the day temperature would remain unchanged while the temperature might come down. However the sky will be cloudy most of the time. From Sunday (June9) the temperature will increase.

On Wednesady (June 6) there was irregular rainfall throughout the day in the capital while on Thursday the sun was seen in the morning with temporary disruption by drizzling. The hot condition became cool in the afternoon.
