Information Minister Dr. Hassan Mahmud commented that after killing of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman the BNP was formed with the floating political crows Bangladesh politics who encouraged them not to observe the historic six point demand day and March 7.
In the background of declaring independence of Bangladesh Bangabandhu announced the six point demand at the Lahore conference. But as BNP being a pro-Pakistani party does not believe in the very conception of independent Bangladesh they do not observe the historic days leading to the creation of Bangladesh. In Chattogram there are several types of BNP- some accidental BNP and some by chance BNP.
He told all these on Friday(June 7) afternoon in a discussion meeting organized in connection with the observance of historic six point demand day at the Bangabandhu hall of Chattogram press club.
Information Minister said that owing to be in power by Awami League(AL) for a very long period many opportunists have intruded in the party. The activities of those intruders have made the governments’ development activities questionable. They must be identified.
Deputy Minister of Education Barrister Muhibul Hassan Chowdhury told the discussion that the young and the new generation party activists must conceive the core theme of the six point demand of Bangabandhu which was termed then as the Magna Carta of the Bangalees otherwise none would be able to last in the politics.
Muhibul Called upon the CCC Mayor to build a sculpture in the historic Laldighi Maidan of Chattogram where Bangabandhu announced the six point demand analytically.
General Secretary of Chattogram city AL and city Mayor AJM Nasiruddin said that one must have clear conception about politics and conceiving the ideals of sacrifice every body should come forward. The conception of Bengali Nationalism was born through six point demand. The liberation and sovereignty came following the ideals of six point demand.
The meeting chaired by the acting president of city AL Mahatabuddin was addressed among others by MP from Rawjan Fazle Karim Chowdhury, South Chattogram district AL president Moslemuddin Ahmed, general secretary Mafizur Rahman, Vice –president of City AL Noimuddin Chowdhury and Khorshed Alam Sujan. The meeting was conducted by city AL Publicity and Publication secretary Shafiqul Islam.
