Foreign Minister describes Bangladesh-India relation as ideal

Dhaka: Foreign Minister Dr. A.K. Abdul Momen said that, ‘In the filed of foreign policy Bangladesh is an ideal. He commented that the matured handling of the bi-lateral relation of Bangladesh and India has brought the two countries so closer that it has become an example for other countries to follow.’

On Saturday (June22) the Foreign Minister told this in a function.

Abdul Momen said that the land boundary dispute, sea boundary dispute and even the Ganges water sharing pact have been solved through dialogues and discussions. The political leaders of these two countries possessed that veracity of wisdom and maturity for solving these problems possible.

Dr. Momen said that to be a developed nation from developing nation we are to face many challenges. We are to face many obstacles on our way. To face those problems the mass media is to play an important role.

We want to highlight the various achievements of our country in the next two years in connections with the observances of the Birth Centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the Golden Jubilee of our liberation. The Foreign Minister said that we have many achievements in foreign policy and economic fields including other fields also.

He called upon the mass media to highlight the positive changes that have taken place from previous position to present position thorough objective journalism.
