Consumers Rights Protection Directorate fines Aarong again

Dhaka,(Barta24.com): Within 21 days Consumers Rights Protection Directorate again fined Aarong for allegation of fraudulent practice.

After a hearing on Tuesday(June 25) the Bashabo outlet of Aarong was fined Taka 50 thousand.

One Kawsar Ahmed complained that recently he had purchased a Panjubi at Taka 836 now that Panjubi is being sold at Taka 1211 which was excess of Taka 400. Aarong was taking this excess money. This is one kind of fraudulence.

Speaking on the matter deputy Director of Dhaka Divisional office of Consumers Rights Protection Directorate Manjur Mohammad Sahariyar told Barta 24.com that Basahbo outlet of Aarong has been fined Taka 50 thousand on June 24 for taking excess money from one Kawsar Ahmed for selling a Panjubi at the rate of Taka 2111 instead of Taka 836. 

One customer had made the allegation that, on last May 25 he had purchased a Panjubi at Taka 700. But on May 31 that Panjubi was purchased by the same customer at Taka 1300 from the same outlet. The allegation was proved true. The outlet was slapped a fine of Taka 4.5 lakh and was ordered to close the outlet temporarily. However the closure order was withdrawn after few hours.
