Two fugitive accused surrendered in the court

Pabna, (Barta24.com): In the case of gun shooting on train carrying Sheikh Hasina, of the accused fugitive persons two surrendered in the court on Tuesday (July2). After surrender the judge sent them to jail.   

The alleged accused are former mayor of Iswardi pourashava and former president of BNP Mokhlesur Rahman Bablu and BNP leader Abdul Hakim Tenu.   

They surrendered in the court of Rustam Ali, the acting judge of the first court of Additional District and Session judge of Pabna. Including theses two so far 32 accused were sent to jail in this much talked case of shooting on the train of Sheikh Hasina.

The date of delivering judgment was earlier fixed on July 3.

It may be mentioned here that the then leader of the Opposition and the present Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was going to Syedpur from Khulna via Iswardi in a train on September 23 of 1994. In the evening when the train was entering the Iswardi junction station a group of miscreants fired upon the carriage of Sheikh Hasina and also threw bombs on the carraige. The case after more investigation, charge sheet was submitted accusing 52 persons. Of them 5 died during last 25 years. The rest 15 is still fugitive. The date of judgment has been fixed on Wednesday (July 3).
